Invited by the Key Laboratory of Urban Environment and Health,Institute of Urban Environment (IUE), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), Dr. Yi Yang from the University of Minnesota gave a series of lectures on LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) from 28th May to 22nd June, 2018. Dr. Yang systematically introduced the theoretical framework and principle of LCA and organized some LCA case studies. More than 20 faculty members and students from the IUE and other institutions participated in these courses and completed four remarkable cases under his careful guidance.

Dr. Yi Yang is engaged in postdoctoral research at the University of Minnesota. His current research focuses on developing LCA models to assist sustainable decision making and evaluating the potential environmental benefits and costs of renewable such as biofuels. He serves as the subject editor in the International Journal of Life Cycle Assessment and a member of editorial boards in the Journal of Cleaner Production and the Biofuel Research Journal.
